I am hiring!

[It appears many folks are arriving here while looking for the earlier ARM at 2GHz post. If so, click here]

In my (extremely biased!) opinion, the ARM processor division marketing team is at the absolute center of the semiconductor industry universe. We have championed the development and promotion of the processors responsible for shipping 15 billion units to date, and we are quickly steering towards another 15 billion units shipped inside the next 4 years. The collective value of the actual end-silicon and subsequent end-user device shipments is truly breathtaking. The roadmap is aligned to the industry and the industry is aligned to the roadmap. Our semiconductor IP business model unlocks diversity, creativity, and innovation which is an unstoppable force for value. To be a bit more humble, there is indeed an extraordinary cast of stakeholders, drivers and supporters across the entire company operating like a well-oiled machine, it isn’t all down to us, and there are certainly some grueling aspects. But on a bright day, the world is certainly our oyster. (I told you I was biased;)

If you want to work with the best, my team has an opening for a key individual contributor – the official ARM posting is here. A few of the key requirements:

  • The role is 100% located in Cambridge UK (no exceptions, non-negotiable)
  • Previous ARM processor technical and marketing experience is required
  • High-energy, high-enthusiasm, high-motiviation, creativity and an ambitious outlook also required

If you tick all the boxes and have an interest in working for a world-class company on a world-class team, send your CV/resume to me at eric DOT schorn DOT blog AT gmail DOT com. Or click here to automagically fire up an email.

  2. Eric,

I have work with ARM from the customer side for nine years. I would enjoy the opportunity to provide legal services to your team.

    Best,

    Monte Crawford

  3. The role is 100% located in Cambridge UK (no exceptions, non-negotiable).

Oh dear, office-based; so 20th Century.

I would have thought that a company as progressive as ARM would have fully embraced the digital revolution. Perhaps I was mistaken. Visions of dark satanic mills and micromanagement come to mind now.

Well, if you want to shut your door on good talent that either don’t want to live in or schlep up to Cambridge daily adding to the CO2 in the atmosphere, so be it; your perogative. Seems a bit small-mined and petty in this day and age though.

I don’t know if you have an office in Maidenhead still, but there’s good semiconductor technical marketing talent around the M4 corridor. You’re too late to interest me, I’m afraid, but there may be others. I’m told it’s a buyers market…
